HighGround

Niche Edits

Existing pages. Existing authority. Better links.

Most niche-edit providers start with a spreadsheet. We start with the SERPs.

High Ground finds established pages with existing search visibility, vets each opportunity through our proprietary High Ground 7, then negotiates directly with publishers to place your link naturally inside existing content.

No recycled marketplace lists.

No choosing links based on DR alone.

No knowingly selling you the same link-farm inventory circulating between dozens of vendors.

The industry problem

Most niche edits are sold backwards.

Find inventory. Check DR. Sell link.

That's how much of the niche-edit industry works. A vendor gets access to a large list. That list gets passed to another reseller. Then another. Eventually the same websites appear in marketplaces, spreadsheets and link-building catalogs everywhere.

On paper, everything can still look impressive:

DR 60.

10K traffic.

Indexed.

But look deeper and you may find hundreds of commercial outbound links, unrelated placements and the same domains being offered by vendor after vendor. High Ground was built to do things differently.

Our sourcing model

We don't start with a list.

We start with what could actually help your campaign. Our team identifies potential websites and existing pages around your market. Then we evaluate them. Then we find the publisher. Then we negotiate. Only opportunities that meet our quality requirements make it into your campaign.

It's slower than buying from a reseller spreadsheet. That's intentional.

PLACE

The High Ground 7

Because DR alone doesn't tell you whether a link is worth buying.

Every niche-edit opportunity is evaluated through seven areas before we approve it.

01

Topical relevance

How closely does the domain, page and surrounding content relate to your website and target topic? A relevant link on the right page can be far more interesting to us than an impressive metric on an unrelated site.

02

Ranking & search visibility

Does the website actually have pages ranking in Google? We examine organic visibility, indexed keywords and the search footprint behind the domain rather than simply trusting a third-party authority score.

03

Referring-domain quality

Where does the site's own authority come from? We look beyond the headline number and examine the backlink foundation behind it.

04

Outbound-link behaviour

This is where many niche-edit opportunities fail. We look for signs that a website is excessively linking out, repeatedly selling commercial placements or appearing across the same reseller inventories. A high DR doesn't compensate for a poor outbound-link footprint.

05

Placement context

We evaluate the actual page where your link will live. Does the topic make sense? Does the paragraph make sense? Does the anchor make sense? Does your website genuinely belong in the conversation?

06

Brand & entity signals

Does the website behave like a genuine publication, company, resource or online property? Or does everything about it suggest it exists primarily to publish SEO placements? We want the former.

07

Competitive gap

Finally, we consider your own backlink profile and competitive landscape. A link isn't valuable simply because it's available. We want placements that add something useful to your campaign.

Scoring

Every niche edit gets a score.

70+/100. Grade B or better.

Finding a website is only the beginning. Our High Ground Link Score turns the seven areas we evaluate into a quality threshold for fulfilment.

Your campaign doesn't get our leftovers.

For High Ground Niche Edits, 70/100 is the floor, not the target. Every delivered placement must achieve Grade B or above under our scoring methodology.

Why existing pages?

You're placing your link into a page with history.

A traditional guest post starts from zero. New URL. New article. No history. No existing ranking footprint. A niche edit takes a different approach: we identify an established article and negotiate with the publisher to add your website contextually to the existing content.

Instead of creating another brand-new URL, you're earning a place inside an existing document. That's why we care so much about which page your link goes into.

Our process

From campaign brief to live placement.

01

Understand your campaign

We start with your website, target URLs, keywords, market and desired relevance. We also consider the existing backlink profile so we're not simply acquiring more of what you already have.

02

Find the opportunities

We identify potential publishers and existing pages relevant to the campaign. We're not simply opening the same reseller spreadsheet and filtering by DR.

We go looking.

03

Run the High Ground 7

Potential opportunities are evaluated across our seven scoring areas. Sites that don't meet the campaign requirements are rejected.

Below 70? It doesn't qualify for this product.

04

Contact the publisher

Once we've identified an opportunity, our outreach team works to contact the relevant publisher or site representative. We negotiate the opportunity directly where applicable. This is one of the reasons our fulfilment takes time.

We're building placements, not simply pulling URLs from inventory.

05

Build the context

Your link shouldn't suddenly appear in the middle of an unrelated sentence. Our writers create or adapt the surrounding paragraph so the reference fits naturally into the existing article.

Topic. Anchor. Target URL. Surrounding language. Existing article. Reader context.

06

Go live

Once the publisher approves the change, the placement goes live. We verify the URL and placement before adding it to your campaign report.

07

Report

You'll receive a clear report containing your completed placements and applicable campaign metrics.

Agencies can use our white-label reporting for client fulfilment.

Niche edits without the recycled-list problem

The link-building industry has an inventory problem.

When the same website is available from dozens of vendors, something changes. The site can accumulate more commercial outbound links. More unrelated anchors. More paid placements. More SEO footprints. And eventually the impressive DR number stops telling the full story.

That's exactly why Outbound-Link Behaviour is part of the High Ground 7. We don't want to sell you a link simply because we can buy it. We want to understand what you're actually buying.

High DR doesn't automatically mean high quality

Site A

DR 75

  • Hundreds of unrelated commercial outbound links
  • Appears across numerous reseller lists
  • Weak topical connection

Site B

DR 48

  • Relevant to your market
  • Pages actively ranking
  • Healthy referring-domain profile
  • Low commercial outbound-link behaviour

Which would you rather own?

That's why High Ground doesn't build campaigns around one metric. We score the whole opportunity.

Why High Ground niche edits?

Built to a standard, not to a spreadsheet.

Direct outreach

We're not building the product around a static list of links purchased from another marketplace. Our team actively sources and negotiates opportunities.

High Ground 7 vetting

Every opportunity is evaluated beyond DR using our seven-part framework.

70+/100 minimum

Anything below our Grade B threshold doesn't qualify for High Ground Niche Edits.

Existing search visibility

We look for genuine organic search activity rather than relying solely on authority metrics.

1,000+ organic traffic

Every qualifying site must meet the campaign's minimum organic-traffic requirement.

Contextual insertion

Your link is integrated into the existing article with surrounding copy designed to make the reference contextually appropriate.

White-label ready

Agencies can order, track and deliver campaigns without maintaining their own outreach operation.

Our guarantee

If we call it High Ground Niche Edits, it has to meet the standard.

Every delivered placement must satisfy the agreed product specifications, including our minimum Grade B / 70+ High Ground Score at the point of qualification. If a delivered placement is found to be a resold/link-farm placement contrary to the product terms, we'll apply our stated replacement or refund policy.

Grade B+ only. 70+/100 minimum.

Every delivered placement is checked against the campaign specification before it reaches your report. Placements that fall below the threshold are rejected before you ever see them.

Built for agencies

Scale outreach without building an outreach department.

Doing all of that internally becomes expensive quickly. High Ground gives your agency access to the infrastructure without adding the headcount. Order from the catalog. Submit your campaign. Track fulfilment. Receive your white-label report.

Your agency stays in front. High Ground stays behind the scenes.

A niche edit is a contextual backlink added to an existing piece of content rather than publishing an entirely new guest article. High Ground identifies suitable existing pages, vets the opportunity and works with the publisher to integrate your website contextually into the content.

An existing page may already have age, internal links, backlinks, indexed keywords and search visibility. A newly published guest post begins as a new URL. That doesn't automatically make every niche edit stronger than every guest post, which is why we evaluate the actual page and website before approving the opportunity.

It's our framework for evaluating backlink opportunities across seven areas: topical relevance, ranking & search visibility, referring-domain quality, outbound-link behaviour, placement context, brand & entity signals, and competitive gap. We use these signals together rather than approving a placement simply because it has a high DR.

For our Niche Edit product, a placement must achieve at least 70/100 under the High Ground Link Score, corresponding to our Grade B threshold or above. Anything below the required threshold is rejected for this product.

Our Niche Edit product is specifically designed around vetted publisher opportunities rather than knowingly sourcing placements from sites built primarily to sell links. Outbound-link behaviour is one of the seven areas we evaluate for exactly this reason.

Our sourcing process is designed to avoid building the service around recycled marketplace inventories. However, we cannot reasonably guarantee that a legitimate publisher has never worked with another SEO company. What we can do is evaluate the opportunity's quality and outbound-link behaviour before approving it.

Our product specification requires at least 1,000 organic visitors per qualifying site based on the measurement source defined for the campaign.

Not necessarily. We look for topical and search relevance at both domain and page level, but requiring every page to rank for the buyer's exact commercial keyword would unnecessarily restrict many legitimate opportunities. If exact-keyword page relevance is required, discuss it with us before ordering.

Yes. Campaign requirements can be defined around tighter or broader topical relevance depending on available opportunities. More restrictive requirements may affect price and turnaround.

Our team prepares the contextual copy required to integrate your target URL naturally into the existing article.

Yes, you can provide preferred anchors. However, we may recommend variations where an anchor appears unnatural, repetitive or overly optimized within the broader backlink profile.

Contact us if a covered placement is removed during the applicable guarantee period. We'll investigate the placement and follow the replacement/reinstatement terms attached to your order.

Typical fulfilment is approximately 14 to 30 days, depending on package size, niche, relevance requirements and publisher response times. Direct outreach takes longer than selecting URLs from a pre-existing marketplace, and that's intentional.

Yes. High Ground is built to support agency fulfilment, including larger campaigns, multiple clients and white-label reporting. For requirements beyond the catalog packages, book a meeting with our team.
